Which wick fits my heater? Wick finder by model

Is your Wick heater burning irregularly, smelling more than usual, or going out quickly? Then the wick is usually due for replacement. There are many different wick types, and they are not interchangeable. Look up your heater model number below to see exactly which wick you need. Find all the wicks in the wicks collection.

Tip: search this page using Ctrl + F (or Find on page on your phone) for your model number, for example RS2222 or R8128.

Where can I find the model number?

The model number is on the rating plate, usually on the back or bottom of the heater. It often starts with R, RS, RC, RCA, or KS. Can't find your model or not sure? Send us the model number via the contact page, and we'll check it for you.

When should you replace the wick?

  • The heater is difficult to light or goes out by itself.
  • The flame is irregular or the heater no longer reaches full power.
  • You smell more fuel than usual when switching it on and off.
  • The top of the wick is hard, charred, or burned.

With normal use, a wick lasts one to two heating seasons. If it wears out faster, the fuel is often to blame. Always use fresh, water-free heater fuel; see compare heater fuel.

Laser heater? It doesn't have a wick

Laser heaters (such as the Zibro LC series and Qlima SRE series) work with an electronic burner and don't have a wick. Find spare parts such as filters and tank caps at spare parts. Is your laser heater malfunctioning? See error codes explained.
