What should you look for in an ash vacuum cleaner?

An ash vacuum is designed to suck up ash without blowing fine dust back into the room. Here’s how to choose the right one.

Power and capacity

  • Qlima ASZ 2010: 800 watts, 15 kPa suction power, 12-liter collection tank.
  • Qlima ASZ 2020: 1,000 watts, 19 kPa suction power, 20-liter collection tank, with swivel wheels.

The ASZ 2010 is enough for a small heater or barbecue; for a pellet stove you use often, the larger ASZ 2020 is more convenient.

For cold ash only

Only vacuum fully cooled ash and dry dirt. Hot ash or glowing embers can cause a fire.

Keep the filter clean

Both models have a washable HEPA filter that traps fine dust. Clean the filter regularly to maintain suction power.

Pellet stove maintenance

Regularly emptying the burn pot and ash drawer keeps a pellet stove efficient and trouble-free. Also check out our other accessories.
